Fun Times!!
Grandma and Grandpa came this past week! It was a blast to have them! This was the first time in a LOOOOOONG time that I got to spend time with mom and Grandma shopping the whole time they were here. Usually I either had school or I had to work. Now I just have Tyleigh, school & work all in one bundle that I can take along with me:D Grandpa & Grandpa both got in lots of Tyleigh time. They say now the pictures I send them will have personality
Here are some captured moments while they were here:
Just some pictures
Last Saturday we insulated our house! Tyleigh sat outside and watched me…she did really well! These are the before pics

Life’s a dance you learn as you go…
Where does the time go? When we were little a day went by SO slow, especially at school! Now…I wonder where the day has gone! OR the 4 months that Tyleigh has been here! She is the reason my house is messy, but right now I really could care less. I spend every moment I can with that little toot. She is my “shuntshine!” She is learning to scoot…backwards! Rolling over has become an every day ordeal now. Next I am going to have her running around on all fours! EEK!
Here she is @ 4 months:
Dear Grandma…
Since email won’t let me send you smaller pictures I will post them here
That way I can post a lot more and hopefully it will load!
Love you guys bunches!!!
Diapers, Naps, & Double D Batteries…the things that now matter!
Making sure your hair is just so, your clothes are PERFECT, and making sure you look as cool as possible….the things that mattered back when you were single and had no kids! Now its making sure my kiddo is fed and bathed and napping….THEN its hit the shower…throw some clothes on and throw my hair up…and try to AT LEAST get one load of laundry done and the bed made! The joys of being a mommy!
I never thought that being a NEW mommy you would have to set ONE goal for the day and then feel SO accomplished when you get that goal done, Then have to brag to your dear hubby of what YOU did today and get a pat on the back for getting it done
I hear so often of moms in earlier generations, having a baby one day and back out milking the cow the next! :O I can’t imagine…but I guess you do what you have to do…maybe I am just spoiled?? Pampered? hmm please don’t answer that question….I do have an awesome hubby tho! He cleans, does laundry, he EVEN does the dishes!!!
Well I am done procrastinating and off to change a diaper and feed my chunky monkey…they set her in her swing to run the Double D batteries!
Mama’s Birthday, August 4th
Yesterday was mom’s birthday. A day I was finally able to do something for her that she has been doing for us since we were “wee ones.” Laytin and I spent the day making mom a toad house, blowing up balloons, and planning things for when mom got home. Her choice of birthday supper was chicken tostadas. Then we had a blueberry dessert, (which by the way Aunt Marlene, wasn’t bad at all for a diet dessert!) We had fun…it was a grand birthday celebration
Mom also got a set of golf clubs that Laytin COULD NOT wait to give to her. He has the golf thing down! He tells me all the time about his putter, or his sand wedge, and how to hold the club (I have no clue the difference or even how to tee off). Now he can’t wait to get mom out there! I am excited about that, it will be a family affair on the golf course! Here are some pictures of the day!

Yes, our little girl finally made it here with ten fingers and ten toes…and a head FULL of hair! She was born June 15th 2008, weighed 8lbs 5oz and was 20.5 inches long. She came here not breathing, BUT was a fighter just like her uncle Laytin and kicked her lungs into gear! Here are a few
pictures of her!
I will post more later
Laytin Earl
I haven’t written much lately about anything…so today is catch up day! AS you all know Laytin LOVES to fish…he can sit for HOURS AND HOURS and still not want to come home! He finally gothis own "bobbers" and his own tackle box and a new "roller inner" (his reel)! This past week the workers came to mom and dads for a rest and spent a lot of time fishing with Laytin. They caught quite a few and had a fish fry. One time before they went fishing they had to replenish their worm supply. Laytin has a shovel just his size that was out in the garden. Glenda picked it up and began digging and Laytin began searching for worms. After a bit he asked Glenda….do you want me to get you a shovel your own age?
That night the whole family went up to the "lake" and just watched, helped bait hooks, or relieved the fish of the hook. Laytin had been catching all the fish and they were all on the stringer, then Glenda cast in and right away pulled in a big one. Laytin got so excited! He goes…Good Job Glenda, you’re a good catcher! The last day of the workers visit, mom Laytin and Christina all went up to fish, along with Laytin’s dog Baxter. A wild boxer
Laytin and Christina had both caught fish and had them on Glenda’s stringer. Baxter got nosy and knocked the stringer from the place they had it tied…needless to say they lost both the fish and the stringer. Laytin was pretty upset with his dog.He was also upset not so much about the fish, but that they had lost Glenda’s stringer. He told mom later that his throat hurt, she asked was it because he was trying not to cry…and he goes…yes!
THEN…
Yesterday we went shopping for mother’s day. Him and I went to hobby lobby for our craft to make our mom. We gothome and he worked HARD to get it finished. He was very determined to get his "job done". We had laid our projects on my carpet and were waiting for the paint to dry. Laytinkept going over and checking to make sure it was drying. Little did I know he was testing it, getting paint on his fingers and wiping it on my carpet. I went over there and saw the paint and said "LaytinEarl, why did you do that?" Laytin goes, it will be ok, it will come out. I told him that it probably wouldn’t and he got the biggest eyes and goes I am so sorry Jamie I didn’t know. My heart broke in two.
I say all of that to say this….I am proud of my parents for raising such a compassionate little boy. He has his ornerystreaks, but for the most part he has a heart bigger than this whole world! I am very thankful my little girl will have such a great role model in her "brother" (Laytin is determined to just be the brother)
